Re: Bank Checks Mar 9 2000.
I like checks too, I'm not rich enough to enjoy them yet, but they're convenient and I wouldn't mind them staying, but they are in fact well beyond the absolute cut off date and since this IS a "hard-core" T2A era shard it doesn't seem to require that much discussion...

The popular vote should rarely, if ever, rule here. The problem when you leave it up the masses is that we come and go. Be it boredom, real life, etc, the population changes here and with that you have changes in opinions/views on how things should be. So what the population thinks today on a subject may not be the same 6 months from now. Derrick is here to stay. He's proven himself to be an intelligent human being and strives to make the right choices for HIS shard. This really should be a no brainer if we are really trying to have a T2A accurate shard.Senses wrote:when Derrick encounters a situation where both having something, and not having something is factually correct, then choosing the thing that most players on the shard want seems to be the best option, or in lieu of that, making up his own mind as to what's best.

People who aren't allowed to vote often just vote with their feet. I'm not saying we are a true democracy, but we are as much a part of the shard as Derrick is. We coexist and again, in situations where both options are factually correct, why not leave it to players.
