I hardly say handing out free items is a event..

It's still fun and funneled player traffic to a couple areas as a result and created some opportunities for players to liven things up a bit. Such as Testicles making his furniture dye tub public which resulted in people hitting furniture vendor spots then heading to his place and then some fighting breaking out there as well.
