afk fishing...........
I was recently jailed for afk fishing. I was just wondering, If you are on one of your other two accounts while fishing, is that considered afk fishing. I just find it hard to stare at pixels for 4 hours just to obtain an mib. I am considering making my fisher into a blue mage. I understand I was wrong in leaving the fishing macro running while afk but I was just hoping maybe I could leave the macro running while playing on other accounts in hopes of not getting jailed again.......
Any incite on this would be appreciated.

You can force UO screen size to a much smaller window. It's under the more options tab in razor. This will allow you to keep an eye on 1-2 or even 3 accounts at a time.

AFK fishing is exactly what it says, fishing while away from your computer. I would think that most people that are fishing are looking at another window for a good amount of time while they are fishing. The important thing is to check up on your fishermen all the time.
You will be jailed for AFK fishing if a GM comes aboard and you do not respond to them within a few minutes. So while you are fishing and playing in another window, just check back on your fishermen every couple of minutes which is better anyway as a water ele or serp will stop your boat etc.
Theres no rule that you have to be looking right at the screen every second but if you are unresponsive after a few minutes then you go to jail.
*Glad to hear the GM's are checking up on people BTW - nothing but good for the server as a whole*

you have to be keeping an eye on yer fisher. read a book or watch tv while yer fishing. being on a different screen and not paying attention to your fishing can be considered afk fishing and in my eyes is afk fishing.
just do what i do put yer fisher to fish and read a book at yer desk or watch tv with yer laptop in front of ye or something;)

I dont really see what the difference is between reading a book or watching tv and looking at another screen while you are fishing.
If every minute or so you are actively using your fishermen that certainly isn't AFK. Opinions aside, if you don't look at your fishermen for minutes on end then that surely is AFK fishing and is exactly what needs to be avoided. What you are doing to keep occupied in the mean time is up to that person.

I rolled up on some fisherman while doing MIBs, looking to steal from his boat. He popped out while fishing and was just like SUP MATE? So yeah, either he's a proficient screen watcher, or people really fish on this shard. We had a full conversation, so it wasn't a macro.

I suppose case by case its hard to say who does AFK and who doesn't. There certainly has to be people that do in fact AFK. Not killing them and paging GM's their names is the best bet when you see them and they aren't responsive.
People do actually fish NON AFK however, and I am one of them.

Is it possible a "ghost scout" type macro can alert you of a GM's presence (or monster, or pirate, or etc..)??
Does the mannequin in UOSA museum have the same razor ID Type as a real GM?
Not trying to circumvent the rules, however, it would get my t boooring playing bassmasters for hours, AND your technically not AFK if your IFK, but would you be SOL?

Actually, bottom bunk in prisons and jails demonstrates superiority. One of my nicknames is Bubba.

Oh well that makes a bunch of sense.
Alright, well Bubba has a seat right next to him ready (you already have something to talk about as you share a name). But he prolly wants the bottom bunk
