in-game macro/hotkey

Post by liinniejj »

Hi all,

I'm trying to setup a macro/hotkey ingame to toggle circle of trans. Now thats easy and not a problem at all however everytime i log out and/or close the client it all resets and is gone again. I have tried saving it by loging out before closing client. Just closing client. Neither kept the macro saved. I had every time no 2nd client open at all.

Any info on this is much appreciated :)

Set the hotkey in the actual client under the options tab...

Do you have Vista?
I have Vista and a lot of my hotkeys and macros NEVER save.
Heres one way to try thats a simple fix. Set your tranperency to what you want. Then, use the "log out/quit" button on your paperdoll. Then, at the title screen, click on quit. IF you do this instead of just "Xing out" usually the macros/hot keys will save.

I have the same problem. I wanted to use the in game open door option on a hotkey. Never got it to save no matter what I tried. Even tried writing it into the macro file in the UO folder, nothing ever worked. Now I use razor auto open door and still have to manually click hidden doors like in deceit :(

If you ever find a way to get it to work, shoot me a pm.

have you tried adding it directly to the hot key file in note pad?
it should look something like this:
C 1 0 0
+C i r c l e T r a n s
########

the c100 part is crtl+c for my example.

Yeah i am sure i can fix it by manually changing the files the thing and reasong why i havent yet tho is that i wudn't know what file exactly and what exactly to put in. I don't want to completely mess up any of the files ye see so.

its macros2d.txt file. Its inside programfiles(x86)\ultima online\profiles\*account name*\*character*

each character will have its own macro2d.txt file. good luck.

when you say its not working, do you mean when you try in game the hot keys dont work or that its not saving.
