I used to play this shard off and on a year ago, and outside of the fact it had a steady, decent-sized player base, the one thing that stood out to me from every other server was the top notch tournament system that listed results on the website with rankings, names, event type and so forth. Although the shard wasn't near my favorite as far as mechanics, it was still very appealing to me and others based on the events and competitive nature.
What is the reason this was done away with?
For my friends and I semi-interested in coming back, this is really make or break for us. I'm wondering if staff would consider bringing it back on a lower scale? Maybe just 2-3 official events a week since I do remember it being a little over saturated with multiple events daily. Was that why they stopped or was it something else?
Anyways, outside of that, I can't seem to figure out where there is any action in regards to PvP outside of the Brit GY.
If any PvPers that currently play or staff could chime in regarding the automated tournaments and where PvP hot spots are there I might have the potential of bringing a couple groups back.
Maybe I'm wrong and there are official events?
Thanks!
What happened to the automated tournaments? Where is PvP?

Search is your friend. This is the second time this week this topic has come up.

I would like to see some events come back

Yikes, sorry I didn't catch the other related posts! I signed up just to make this post and then realized the other two existed afterwards.
I think to throw my two cents in, if the staff doesn't want to add automation in that isn't a problem, but maybe once or twice a week a staff member can put up some gates and manually run a couple tournaments or something? Although at that point it may end up being so tedious they just want to automate them anyway.
Another vote for events coming back! Even if just one a week!

Re: What happened to the automated tournaments? Where is Pv
Pcp hosts events every week with cash prizes, and a point system which allows you to compete in later events with much bigger prizes. These events occur weekly, you should check out the forum post with all the rules and dates.

Bring your groups of friends. Winter population kicks up.. Dungeons are usually where you'll find your fights.. and on occasion the GY bluebies will try to jump in on a gank, most fail.
Would like to see some new (or old) groups come back for some good heated field fights.

him and his friends arent interested in that scene, the shard is better off without themSin Cloud wrote:Bring your groups of friends. Winter population kicks up.. Dungeons are usually where you'll find your fights.. and on occasion the GY bluebies will try to jump in on a gank, most fail.

Seriously? Id rather have 50 bank sitters who played during events then no bank sitters at all. WBB has been so dead lately, heck man, even the GY has been dead lately. Something needs to give this shard a rebirth. I dont care if people only log in for events or not, at least their logging in. Not to mention, the most active pvp time back in the day, was the moment after events.Johnnylittle wrote:him and his friends arent interested in that scene, the shard is better off without themSin Cloud wrote:Bring your groups of friends.
