Blessed is something that required a deed, like a mask, sandals or clothing. You won't lose the item upon death no matter blue or red.
Newbied is something like a house deed or one of the various newbied holiday gifts by UOSA. You will lose them if you die on a red with them.
Please make my 1gp out in check form.

Hm okay ... so only diffrence is, if you are red, you keep blessed, but not newb'd items?

You get clothing bless deeds from silver rewards or as a Christmas present.
YOu can also buy one during a sale on the rares forum. Usually runs up to a keep deed.

One important note regarding newbie items. If you set them on the ground, even in your house, they will decay very rapidly.
