Re: L-Shape in Windemere
Nice house.
Buyers should be noted that the first floor back room has a bit of a plant shining through the floor as posted by the previous seller. For full disclosure, it would be fair to point it out here too.
You got it for the starting bid (2x deed) due to low interest just a little over two weeks ago. What makes it go for 3x (or more) now? It's the sheep, isn't it? That's a high starting bid, but I suppose there's nothing wrong in trying.Budner wrote:For sale, this sweet waterfront two-storey gem.

Re: L-Shape in Windemere
Thanks for your helpful commentary Lupu, and many thanks for being your own special one-man squad of the Housing Police. The market speaks for itself on these issues. Sometimes it'll sell, and sometimes it won't.
Whereas, people like you, who feel the need to post your opinion that a house is over-valued, instead of just letting the bidding address the issue of valuation, are pricks 100% of the time.
Congratulations!
Don't feel the need to let your own RL frustrations with impotence, incompetence and unimportance interfere with the sale of anyone's pixels. Next time consider STFU as an option.

Re: L-Shape in Windemere
Lupu very sad business your doing there. You wudn't like people costing you yer profit on your auctions ...
Re: L-Shape in Windemere
3x deed is a steal. What people don't realize is the housing market is even more expensive then it was a month ago and it will only continue to go up. This server is getting more popular each day, I'm predicting over 1000 users on at peak times before the end of the year. Surprisingly, there have been many brand new players to UOSA that have never even played the game before that keep joining, which is fantastic. My point, however, is that, not only are there absolutely no spots left for large houses, but there's becoming less and less room for small houses too. If you think the sb or bo is too expensive, just wait until next year when you can't even get a small house for 2x deed. To those who have larger houses, congratulations, I wouldn't sell any larger house for less than 3-4x deed because it is going to get much much worse. Budner has a very fair price and if he got this house cheaper a few weeks ago, then that's the person who sold him the houses fault, not his. He took advantage of it because he understands how the market has gone up every month. +1 for Budner for being a reputable person and +1 for selling the house at a decent price, regardless of what anyone else says.

Re: L-Shape in Windemere
Indeed, and it is up to you to set any asking price you want. If people bid on it, it'll be worth it to them. My intention was not to down talk your auction, I was genuinely surprised about the price difference for the same property in two weeks time, given the prior auction did last a couple days. It seems Menkaure was the first to give the honest question an answer.Budner wrote:The market speaks for itself on these issues. Sometimes it'll sell, and sometimes it won't.
As for the plant on the first floor, that can be a valuable addition to decoration, depending on what the intended use for the house is. So it may increase the value of the house, if that's what the buyer wants. This is, again, not an issue of interfering with your profits, but letting the buyer know what they're getting. Is that somehow against etiquette these days?
Re: [Removed] L-Shape in Windemere
the seller shud let the buyer know what theyre buyign not you
if not your house... you were not the previous owner... you are not a potential buyer so what business is it to you. it's bad etiquette to meddle with an auction you got jack shit to do with
and the price change is called house flipping. buy cheap sell expensive. if succesfull good profit. doubt you honestly cud't think of that yerself.

Re: [Removed] L-Shape in Windemere
And if the seller fails to mention something? Having bought houses on these forums before, as a buyer, I would have appreciated knowing about the plant, which is why I pitched in. I've seen mentions of "plants are included in the price" in similar situations before, I think that's a nice pitchliinniejj wrote:the seller shud let the buyer know what theyre buyign not you

Actually, I had regrets for not participating in the auction in the previous round, so I could have been a potential buyer this time. As mentioned, this is a nice house.liinniejj wrote:if not your house... you were not the previous owner... you are not a potential buyer so what business is it to you. it's bad etiquette to meddle with an auction you got jack shit to do with![]()
Re: [Removed] L-Shape in Windemere
All this over a plant and a guy reselling a house he bought?... Give the guy a break he's just trying to make some money.
I figured he was buying it to resell anyway.

Re: [Removed] L-Shape in Windemere
Lupus don't act like you just made some innocent comment. Nice backtracking, but you:
1) Highlighted a recent purchase for less money, implying I was somehow doing something wrong by flipping the house; and
2) Pointed out there's a plant on the floor (which most people couldn't care less about) and also implying that I purposely omitted this information.
Your post was clearly meant to be a negative post about the price.
Maybe you're a competing seller. Or maybe you're just a dick.
So I have a suggestion for you:
1) Don't be a dick
Love,
Budner
