Crafter skills

Post by KWK »

There are so many skills that compliment each other on a crafter to make so many different items. What skills do I want to make sure my crafter has all in one? Example: carpentry and tailoring you can make fishing poles... Before I get in too deep with this char what setup do I want to make sure I have? My current setup is. I notice with my setup I do not have the advantage of tailoring and carpentry on same guy will this prohibit me from great advantages or just no fishing poles? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Blacksmithy
Mining
Carpentry
Tinkering
Magery
Arms Lore
Fletching

My other crafter is

Alchemy
Poisoning
Magery
Inscription
Tailoring
Meditation
Fishing

Really?

This thread is on the same page as this one: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=49099, and they're almost identical. There is a wealth of information on this forums, please take the time to do a bit of research first.

Ok I was not being specific enough when I asked about this. What am I missing out on but not having tailoring and carpentry on the same toon? Also isn't Item Identification a useless skill if you can get a bunch of id wands? Arms lore at least tells you condition that I am pretty sure wands do not.

Depends on how much IDing you do. ID charges are 5-10 gold per charge, it adds up after a few tmaps. Tailoring is really just so I can make everything on one toon. You wont be able to make the dips and training dummys without tailoring. Not a big deal really.

Thanks I was curious what I was unable to make if I kept it separate. You are right I could care less about those items and if I want one bad enough I will just buy it. As for the id wands I think they are a dime a dozen if you have a silver weapon and farm lichs for a couple hours.
