Question bout MIB/Water-stained SOS

If I kill a fisherman and loot MIB or Water-stained SOS from the corpse can I fish up the treasure? OR Can only the person who removes the SOS from the bottle fish it up like decoding a treasure map?

Any/all info is appreciated.

you can fish it up. and you dont need fishing skill but it will take more tries to fish the chest up with lower fishing skill.

Excellent news! A pair of twin Ian's tried to PK my poor fisherman and i am now the proud owner of 7 Water-stained SOS. Looks like a high seas adventure awaits!

You should read and plot all 7 into the UOAM which will help you figure out the most logistically sound route.

Thanks for the advice. I had some trouble figuring out how to drop multiple makers onto my UOAM but I only spent a few minutes messing with it. Any tips?

Hit Ctrl-N to bring up the 'add label' box, enter the coordinates, repeat until you are done. It's a hassle putting them in but it saves a lot of time in the end.
