Player Run Vendors. Change, you can believe in.

Post by ScoobyDoO »

We need change on how much vendors charge. To some these prices are not bad because your either rich or your rich but to your first time starters and such, 1k a day is alot of money to me to run a vendor. It's really not even worth starting them and keeping them going. Can they please be lowered 15% ? Thanks Derrick.

They sound like an effective gold sink to me. If you can't make 1k a day on your vendor, you gotta try selling something different or promoting your shop better.

On a side note, but on topic, how bout making vendors... not customizable in appearance (aka era-accurate :D )

My vendors have TONS of shit on them and I dont even think I pay 1k a day. To my knowledge it was MUCH more expensive to run a vendor on osi.

Just depends on how much you're charging altogether for the stuff on him. One way to keep costs down if you're selling multiple items like I do with furniture on mine would be to stock less of them and recheck it more often to replenish it. I prefer to stock it to the brim so I can leave it alone for a few days. I also know that the stuff I put on there WILL sell and cover the costs. If you're not doing enough business to keep up with the costs then your only real options are to lower price or lower the number of items on there. Possibly advertise better to boost sales. I've never had a problem keeping up with the cost of a vendor. My biggest problem is the damn item count cap on them. My guys sell out too fast and often run out of certain items.

This is actually not a bad suggestion for 2 reasons:

There are many many less players on this shard than OSI

There are many many more players with crafters

Where is your vendor? If it is in a bad location... Do you mark runes to your shop and leave them at the bank?
If 1k a day is a lot, (Im assuming you cant mark yet) I'm thinking you are using a friends house... maybe that friend could help you.

"this is too hard! make it easier" is the exact attitude that ruined this game.

They are not customizable anymore, those that you still see around are grandfathered.
