The Inaugural -Q- Single Elimination Jousting Tournament: Tentatively scheduled for Sunday 2/17 - Time TBD

Come put your PvP skills to test in a playing field where only your actual playing skills will differentiate you from your opponents. You've all talked shit in forums and IRC; here is your chance to live up to your own hype (or not).

Buy in = 5,000 gold (additional donations toward the prizes also graciously accepted)

Macing Class uses GM Mace
Fencing Class uses GM Spear
Sword Class uses GM Halberd

No magic. No potions. No armor. No healing of any kind.

Weapons and robes will be given out prior to event. Pairings will be randomly determined. Classes will face off against opponents of the same class. (i.e. macer vs macer, fencer vs fencer, sword vs sword)

The last remaining tournament contestant for each class will receive a prize. Prizes will be determined by participation (i.e. more buy ins/donations = bigger prizes).

The Game

Opponents will pass each other joust-style across the bridge of two bridged towers, attempting to hit one another. To make things interesting, the other contestants will be positioned on either side of the bridge to potentially whack anyone who gets too close to them. There will be a boundary clearly marked. If a jousting contestant passes beyond the boundary, they may be hit by the audience/other contestants.
