Selling my tower since I don´t have that much time to play anymore and I tend to fail at refreshing stuff.

Auction will run until Sunday 20/01. Starting bid is Deed+Small. Buyout is Deed+Brick.

I, Sir Earnest, confirm that I sell this tower to Grave for the amount of Deed+ brick, he will hand over the deeds first and I will transfer the house afterwards.

SirEarnest ran off with my deeds and never returned. Just yesterday, I was minutes away from buying a tower and my deeds decayed on the floor of my house in seconds.

Now I'm homeless and penniless after selling all of my houses to get the deeds back.

Derrick. Someone.. Anyone. Do something about this. This is ridiculous.

Yes... because it is CRAZY to expect some kind of secure house trading system or any system of accountability at all with a system regarding massive amounts of gold.

What's borderline psychopathic that even when a scam can be clearly seen to be a scam, you'll do nothing about it, except for maybe blame and insult the victim.

You can't tell me that you have no way to track the external IP address of who signs into SirEarnest's account. I've had a RunUO server locally on my machine. I know what the admin options are. I know that I can tell what characters belong to what accounts, and the IP address of the connected client (barring proxy tunneling, but this guy was connected and moving too fast to be tunneling through something like TOR).

I know that if you know code well enough to modify the C# of the RunUO server, you can code in logging features.

I know you can read journals.
I know that when SirEarnest set up his forum account, this webserver was aware of his external IP, and that unless the IP is from China, it's most likely his. It's trivial to log this.
I also know that it's trivial to block people from logging into the forum OR the RunUO server by external IPs.

Your *hands off* approach to administering the server and solving problems... is it a result of apathy, incompetence, or something else?
