Yeah, really no reason they should not be brought back.

Lol, this has to be a joke. Otherwise Lelouche probably had a heart attack.

I think I started here just after the automated events were stopped...but there seemed to be a lot of GM run events going on. The Urk events were an awful lot of fun. Unfortunately the GM run events take up a lot of the GM's time. Even without rewards, I think everyone would appreciate some sort of events, automated or not.

There's other inaccurate things to do to make this server better than events, for instance how about there be a vendor that sells the things you can get with silver, except you buy it with gold. This would cause more farming and money making, reasons for people to go out and about.

Events are the type of inaccuracy we don't need, trammel is just ridiculous and I can't see any reason we would add that back in before we add in cool features like gold bought prize rewards which are not that bad of an inaccuracy. It certainly doesn't steal the population for hours like automated trammel does.

funny, u guys always call the events trammel, but i remember some of the best pvp/fun i've ever had during the so called "trammel events"

Less people like malice, and cman, just running for days etc.
Straight fights, no magic clothing/jewelry.

Chasing people all over sosaria gets old after the first few hundred times.

Like most player-hosted PvP tournaments, I would guess it's because they suck in various ways. Like lack of coordination, participation, security or unbreakable rules with associated linkable leaderboards.......but that's just a guess.

Having an arena environment where the chances of foul play are relatively nil, is what draws crowds to combat tournaments.
Not the potential to get griefed in a billion various ways.

It's disappointing to see Mr. Anti-event respond to a very well written post that stated excellent points by Blaise.

Whether you realize it or not, you are the face of the player population that discourages automated events.

With that in mind, I can't say I'm too surprised with your response. It represents childness, ignorance, and even laziness. Characteristics that one would presume anti-event individuals to have.

A bit of advice; being the front line of the opposition, you may want to try a little harder in defending your position.
