Trying to find an item with certain properties

Post by Elph »

This item must stop movement but allow a player to pull from a container behind it while locked down. Any ideas?

____________ (any impassable object) as long as the container behind is "high" enough.

Tables are 6 levels (z-axis) high. If you put your "box" on a table and lock it down, then put the table in front of it, you've accomplished what you asked for. Everyone on either side of the table barrier can reach into the container if it is not secured.

Ah ok, I see what you're saying. The only thing in this particular situation I have chests stacked floor to ceiling im trying to stop lockpickers from getting in to but not stop people from keying in and taking items.

If you can reach it with a key, you can reach it with lockpicks.

Not true actually, unless im missing some sort of mechanic. Keys work up to two tiles away. Lockpicks must be used adjacent to the chest. I just tested it. Is there some bug or other strategy I should be aware of?
