Quick question in skill gains on this server

I started macroing my guys the last couple days, and I have play UO for manny years. So I did mace and my other char I gave a sheild and let his parry go up, and after one day his parry from 0 to 97 in one day, and my other chars mace when from 20 to 65, this just seems kinda backward's to me, seems like weapon skill has been lowred in this server or backward's.

There have been other reports of parry gaining unnaturally fast, it's something we do intend to address

Also, combat skills raise slower when fighting a player character. It's best to fight NPCs (NPC humans, monsters, animals, anything) for combat skill gains.
