Hail and well met!

Post by Onslaught »

Why hello there!

Just an introduction here. I'm new to the server and hoping to make some new e-friends and have some fun in the process.

I first started playing UO in 1998 on the Great Lakes shard. This is my first player-run shard though. I stopped playing UO a few months after Age of Shadows came out (2003ish?) and I'm currently a guild leader of a large World of Warcraft guild (http://www.vqguild.net) and have been for almost four years now. Unfortunately, Warcraft doesn't have the thrill and Risk vs. Reward PvP system that UO has so I've been drawn back to ol' Ultima for my desire to be more entertained as I game.

Unfortunately, I'm dirt poor and have to spend my time working on a character to make some kind of income so I can start on a character I can actually PvP with. Hopefully I'll be able to get some of my Warcraft buddies to make characters here too and we can have some fun in the coming weeks.

I've met some nice guys so far and look forward to meeting the rest of you! I'll be in mIRC as "Ons" and that's currently my in-game name for the time being.

PS - E-High five to Hexafluoride for PK'ing me 15 minutes after installation. Way to keep the game the way it should be! Keep it up!

Welcome on the Second Age Ons. i Went back to uo myself a month ago after being deceived so much by Wow ( and pretty much all modern mmorpg's ).

If you liked the uo experience back in the days , you are sure to find the oldschool fun & feeling here. Have fun.

Welcome aboard.

I think my favorite part of UO is when you are just starting out and struggling to make an income. I remember selling meat to the Britain butcher back in my first week of play back in '98. The hardest I've ever worked for 20 gold.
