I beat test some blessed black sandals to death... it took over 16 hours. The problem was I was using several GM macers to attack him... apparently the better the combat skill of the attacker, the less likely they are to land a hit on your "feet", which means very little sandal damage. If I had a 0 macing skill guy beating on the guy (and the guy had equip a dagger or something with 0 fencing so as to be easy to hit), I imagine it would have gone much faster.

i do not know either buyer or seller but it's hard to imagine this as being a scam but more of a mistake.

i wouldn't think a scammer would risk letting someone beat on a pair of blessed sandals and take the risk of losing them unless he truly believed they were gf'd.

however, this does not rule out the ol' switcheroo but these details were not made clear.
