Need some taming advice

Hi Guys

Ive never GMd a tamer before as i just couldnt spend the time, my concerns are these -

My character has no resist so what a good level to get to before i embark on the hell hounds
Will i get PKd a lot as it really chesses me off !!
Where the safest place to go so i can get away if its get to hot ?
How long from 85 does it take ?
I have GM lore should i drop this before i go doing it or does it nor affect it.

88-90 taming. Resist doesn't make a difference here.

You will, but taker easy, you will make MUCH more than you will loose with a tamer, even if you're PKed 10 times a day.

Where the safest place to go so i can get away if its get to hot ?

I particularly like Brekenridge, although Park City has nice snow too in the winter. In game, consider any place suitable for a tamer a hot spot. There are no safe spots.

How long from 85 does it take ?

Depends on the time you put into it, but should be a couple of weeks with some dedication.

I have GM lore should i drop this before i go doing it or does it nor affect it.

imo go straight to hell hounds at 85, you'll gain a lot from fails. 85-90 is really quick that way.

regarding getting pked a lot at HH, just have an alt (mage) with a rune to the healers, whenever you get killed just gate yourself to the healer and you're straight back in the action, no loss. i personally just left a character idling at the healer to gate myself back.

For an inexpensive alt to rez my Tamer and Provo while out farming, I have opted to use a Hiding Alt with Anat/Healing

Will look like this when done

*Anat-100
*Healing-100
*Hiding-100
*Stealth-100
*Magery-50
*Med-50
Tracking-50
Detect Hidden-100 (Thinking of dropping this as I don't think I will really need it)
I am thinking of adding Item ID (is 50 enough or does it need 100?)

Currently worked LP to 95 in case I wanted to mess around with chests while farming certain areas but may drop it.

Definitely a work in progress as far as the extra skills but the first 6 skills are staying.
This throw away man servant hides outside of dungeons, holds spare recall regs and rune, loot dropped off by my current farming toon, can stealth in and recover lost loot if area not too heavily guarded by mobs (can add Music/Provo as the final 200pts after med if you want safer loot recovery).

As you can start out with magery and lock it at 50, this anatomy rezzer is inexpensive to create for us noobies ~
Yes you can always use one of your maxed out farming alts to just pop in and save the day, but if you are pretty new and only have that first money maker going, this alt can save you much frustration.
