revealed by alligators
I've noticed, for example, that when an alligator or other creatures attack me and I run away and cast invisibility or use an invis item they always manage to reveal me if they are one tile away. I thought perhaps it was because I might be in combat mode but that isn't the case. Why?

You will auto-defend if you don't tab in and out before they get next to you regardless of whether you are in war mode or not.smokybarnable wrote:I've noticed, for example, that when an alligator or other creatures attack me and I run away and cast invisibility or use an invis item they always manage to reveal me if they are one tile away. cool thanks.
Re: revealed by alligators
I think the real bug here is that some monsters will continue to track you after you've hid/invis'd. I would think hiding/invis would break combat, not continue to be agressive to the point where the creature still knows where you're at.

I may be going mad, but I seem to remember something like this from when I used to play UO on official servers back in the day. Might be wrong though.
