Spawn includes large serpents, alligators, snakes, gorilla's and occasional silver serpent.

Not to be a party pooper but I would double check that the tower still fits (best to do it after last save) because house placement rules changed and some spots that used to fit towers no longer do (and vice versa).

I had a tower I turned into a large brick because I needed gold. When I went to replace the tower it wouldn't fit, nor would the large brick. Lucky for me a 2 story did lol.

Far more brick spots became tower spots than the other way round though. The thing that can nerf a spot since the last patch is that the stairs are now counted as footprint once placed so the 5 tiles of space in front and behind a house need to account for this.

There are also some frightful brigands who spawn in the tower to the west!
