UO:R Housing
UO:R Housing
not the first debate but
how about to get rid of some 400-500silver rewards and switch them for small tower etc deeds.
since both is NEA it wont hurt anyone.
i for myself would like NEA Housing more than NEA Deco stuff and wearable rares.
iam sick of the same houses over and over again.
thanks much

No way. We should be able to have a silver reward of beetle mounts. Much better idea.

As long as you add the trammy skill of Insecticide, I'm good with this.ZombieFever wrote:No way. We should be able to have a silver reward of beetle mounts. Much better idea.

Re: UO:R Housing
I'm not really for this,
There are no other good pre T2A or T2A shards out there right now. Sometimes I get curious and decide to see what UO:R is like, and it is so bad that I would rather not even look at these houses because they remind me of an era I hate.
Even if I don't use the silver system I really do not want to think about UO:R when I play UOSA, it'll hurt my nostalgia a little bit.

Personally, I'd love this and voted yes. But the hordes of NEA drones are about to descend upon this thread like ravenous vultures. Even if there would only be two on the whole server due to insane costs, there will always be a coterie of management's ego-pleasers perched to demonstrate their loyalty to the party line.
S&S Yew: fully stocked bulk reagents, weapons, armor, explosion traps, and fishing spoils. Also, temporarily carrying POTION KEGS!
Re: UO:R Housing
I voted No, because if UO:R housing is available then why not any other Post T2A stuff?
Re: UO:R Housing
iam not asking to add these houses and let other nea things how they actually are.
iam asking to switch them for other nea things.
if you like to walk by smalls, patios mass keeps n castles thats fine. np at all but iam sick of the same mass houses everywhere for 2 1/2 years.
i always loved the samll tower for example. iam not asking for aos atribute blessed omfg nuclear stealth bomber weps in ice white. not everything in uor was bad.
there r rlly worse houses already out there (mym costume teleporters inside brick etc).
i dont see the problem. but well. haters gona hate

Re: UO:R Housing
I don't get it. You come to play on a shard knowing that it strives to emulate a certain era. Then you proceed to want things from another era. That's like if I went to McDonalds and asked for a Arby's beef & cheddar.
Xevec is right, when we let one thing come in, whats to stop from bringing other things? I can see the threads popping up now with people crying "But you put X in, Y should be allowed". Easier to just make nothing available.

once again iam not saying we have X why not put in Y iam asking to delete X for Y.
and iam very happy with the shard how it was/is except for little things (no drama)
my opinion = small towers wont hurt at all even if they were added a little after our cut date.
player run towns /citys (staff made) were added in UO:R but we also have them.
i mean you play here even if there r hued masks, neon sandals, trammel events and grandfathered nea things so comeon
Re: UO:R Housing
I've made my opinion known on this enough. I love the small towers, also a fan of the marble patios and log cabins.
I mean really, what is the CORE detriment to the existing mechanics by having these housing types?
Nostalgia aside.....

Re: UO:R Housing
Let's be real Arsen, the second you got the small tower you'd be selling it on the boards the next day. Then buying one the next week, then selling it again. Then quitting, then coming back. You know the drill.
If there weren't certain house types available in game during our "era", then they shouldn't be here now. Housing is a big part of era accuracy, not just mechanics.

Re: UO:R Housing
I disagree with that. I think the shard should always aim keep gameplay mechanics the same, but additional housing options would be a nice implementation.HardCore wrote:Housing is a big part of era accuracy, not just mechanics.
As long as we don't have ninjas running around on etheral steeds and knocking your sword from your hand with their blowgun I think we'll be A-okay.

Re: UO:R Housing
If we get new houses, i want that t2a dungeon... the same argument could be made about it if I twist it enough

Re: UO:R Housing
One obvious problem to me with introducing UO:R housing is that they came post phase iii of housing where lockdowns were increased dramatically. Derrick would essentially have to make up lockdown and secure numbers for these houses in order to be comparable to our current ones. Making up stuff goes against everything we strive for here. Another reason this change would just never happen.
