Food!

Post by Kelson »

I dont remember when the "skill gains and spell/skill success is dependant on being full" came about... do we need to ensure our chars are always well fed, or no??

Food has no effect on skill or stat gain. It's only current function is to restore a minimal amount of stamina when you're not 'full'.

Yea, I hear ya. It is accurate, so we do intend to get it in, but it hasn't been of the highest priority.

You may not have been able to research the details yet, but I was curious what types of effects the food did have on gain rate and success %.

If you were "extremely hungry" did you have a 5% failure rate?

Did you get bonuses for full, or just no negatives?

And my last question (about a very low relevance question!) is if you were "so full you are stuffed" did that cause any negatives too? I seem to remember people telling me dont eat too much and get too full, because thats almost as bad as being starving... was curious if that was correct or not.

Aye, stuffed was a step down. You wanted to be "full"

not to rain on anybodies parade but I could of sworn all things pertaining to food were just myths. I don't remember food ever having a single effect besides stamina gain.

neither do I, although there was a myth about not fizzling as much when you were well fed, but I don't ever recall that to be true

Well I'd love the myth to be the case... I always hated dealing with food. Derrick's first response made it sound like there was an impact?

The most accurate info I have is from the playguide and it only pertains to hits and mana regen. I'll be doing some research before I implent anything.

Yah food was supposed to be implemented, as in playguide, but it had too many people against it. They never got around to it.

Damnit, it took me that much longer to GM my skills becuase I was sure that staying full was important for skill gain!!

Doh!

When the system is in place, will you have lower hits with weps and lower spell damage when your hungry as well? I think I remember it being like that.
