I'm wondering if you figured this out as I'm in the same boat as you are. The skills wiki only explains how to raise from 50. Right now I'm at 33 smithing. Been making Chainmail coifs, working thus far. What did you make to raise?

The best solution is usually to start with 50 smith, as I think the cost of 30-50 is something like 15k~ ingots, failing that, I remember daggers till bout 40~ then cutlasses till 50, although I could be wrong heh.

From my blacksmith, I haven't finished her yet but these are what I did. (These are based off of real skill, not shown; you prob only need to make daggers to get to 50.)
