Is Greater Poison = Deadly Poison

I was just reading an old thread about potions created by GM Alchemist vs. potions made by non-GM Alchemist who can make "Greater" potions, and it made me wonder if Greater Poison is the same thing as Deadly Poison?

I always thought that DP was something only a GM Alchemist could make.

They are not the same; you can make DP without being a GM alchemist, but the rate of success is very low. In fact, it's relatively low for a GM alchemist as well.

Do you get some kind of notification then when you have created deadly poison (like GM items)?

At GM alchemy, you get the normal message (when creating DP or any other potion):
*You pour the completed potion into a bottle.*

There's no Makers Mark for alchemy, so you can't tell whether a potion was made by a GM alchemist or not (and there's no difference).

Also you cant make it by accident,its a choice on the alchemy gump,last one on the right when you can actually attempt to make it.
