Magic in town

Post by Alex the Artist »

I'm new to the shard and searched the forums, couldn't find the answer. . .

Anyway, I hear there is no magic in town. Is that ALL magic? Only offensive magic? I see people macroing (I'm guessing) resist in town. They are casting flamestrike on themselves and doing hardly any damage. Is flamestrike that weak or is it a town issue, high resist, or what?

Details about magic in town would be appreciated.

Secondly, are PK guilds popular on this server? Or are the PKs randomly scattered about preying on who ever, when ever?

Player economy: Are there any good player run shops, or does everyone have their own crafting mule so that there is no real player run economy? I have yet to see a GM crafted weapon. Were crafter tags after T2A, or am I just missing things.

Are there potion kegs?

Leather/furniture dye tubs?

Horned/spined leather, or just plain?

House security: Lock downs? Secures? Co-owner lock boxes?

That's all I can think of for now. I can't remember what all was included with T2A and what popped up in UOR. Forgive me if I've mention UOR stuff.

Thank you.

offensive spells do only 1 dmg in town.
people that are macroing in town are probably stupid.
no resist gains in town

pks are usually scattered although there are a few guilds.

Player economy: Are there any good player run shops, or does everyone have their own crafting mule so that there is no real player run economy? I have yet to see a GM crafted weapon. Were crafter tags after T2A, or am I just missing things.

crafting usually costs a lot and is time consuming so no there is not a large amount of player vendors. there are some decent vendors but nobody really spends the time to make really good ones that are decently priced.

Are there potion kegs?

yes
Leather/furniture dye tubs?

furny, but very very rare and expensive.
Horned/spined leather, or just plain?
plain, but leather also makes meditation slower so nobody uses it.
House security: Lock downs? Secures? Co-owner lock boxes?

secures, lock downs, secures have weight limit and each house only has a certain amount. lock down bags hav eno weight limit and can be loote.d

Thanks for the reply.

Leather stops meditation? Wacky. I remember plain leather being the only armor option for mages. I do remember studded leather messing with meditation though. Ah well.

How do you get the dye tubs?

Thanks again.

I just remembered co-owner lock boxes, I really thought they were this era. Am I wrong?
