suggestions about getting a house?

Me, my mother, and my aunt have started playing uo again and came to uo2a to play. we all played uo since the beginning, but quit playing around 04-05...so we are kinda newbs now. So, I was wondering what is the average price of a small starter house, preferable close to a town? I know the prices vary with what is near by, but some examples would help for us to set a goal of how much money to get together for starters.

A small house deed costs about 45k from a vendor and you would normally not pay much more than that from a player. The closer you get to town the more expensive they are and the less likely that you'll find a spot to place one yourself.

I currently have a small house that I placed next to my tower that's very close to Vesper(about a 1 minute run) in a no-spawn area which I would be willing to let you and your family use it as co-owners until you get on your feet. Let me know if you're interested.

i might take your offer if i can't place one myself...i've looked around and found a few houses that are "greatly worn"...any idea of how long it takes for it to collapse?

Greatly worn lasts 3 days before they turn IDOC. IDOC lasts 18 hours I believe

thanks, someone has already given my mom a small house, so i think we are set for now. just letting y'all know...there are 3 small houses west of glow that now are idoc...like right outside the gate
