Guard whacking my Blue frenzy 3 times!!!!!!! possible bug?

ok so i spend a bit of time roaming the lands looking to tame frenzies, i bring 3 of them back to del, one i am riding, all 3 ARE blue, there is someone at bank macroing so they are spamming the guards, out of no where our loyal an trusty guard fred whacks one of my frenzies into next week, thats one down, then less than 30 seconds later bam, there gos number 2, so fearing for my safety,i head for the del pass as fast as i can but as im riding past another loyal guard, blammo, whacks the frenzie im riding from underneath me an im left using my ass as the breaks. is that normal or is that a bug, and to repeat all frenzies were blue, and under the command to all stay, aopart from the one i was riding obv. anyone got any feedback?

Not sure how it happened, I know there was a post about criminal, attackable, etc flags and how different colors are just settings.

Really just posting because your story made me laugh just thinking about you running for the exit and a guard got the one you were riding.

lol, i couldnt beleive it my self as i was sprinting as fast as the frenzie would go it literally guard whacked from underneath me, i think i carried on moving in the air for 2 tiles.

I had never heard of a mount being whacked from under you. I have many times tamed frenzieds/nightmares and jump on them while they're still grey and mount them into town with no consequence. I would post that in the bugs section.

Is it possible it bucked you off right before and you didn't notice?

Is it possible that someone polymorphed into something and attacked your frenzy unnoticed when he was grey....then recalled back and maybe though the pet was blue to you...was still grey to him? So all he had to do was reattack a beast from afar.

i highly doubt it as i was out in lost lands,and unless he did it to all 3,which is highly unlikly, as i was riding the one all along even while taming the other 2 so i would have got a notice sayin so an so is attacking u.

A pet can't die if you are riding it. As thus you were either bucked off or you dismounted.

I wish it were possible that a mount could be whacked while you are riding it, but to the best of my knowedge it is not. I suspect that each of these went wild and attacked immediately (they are agressive). This is my best guess though. In any case: epic tale!

I'm not sure of that Derrick - correct me if I'm wrong, but pets do not lose loyalty while they are being ridden (though era accuracy says they should buck you off). I have never had a mount on UOSA go untame while I was riding it, even while macroing for several days without feeding it.

...and I would add, even if they are mounts the character cannot control like frenzieds or nightmares.

the point someone made about them goin wild an attacking, could that be possible as after taming them i didnt feed them? although nothing provoked them an they were under the all stay command. as for the bucking me off while riding, this could be possible but as i say i was sprinting as fast as the frenzie would allow so if it did it happened very fast,as in bucked an whacked within an instance, but to me it happened so fast it looked like it got guard whacked from under neath me.quite funny now i think about the whole situation

They should lose loyalty and buck you off if they go wild when you are riding. This was introduced with the stamina loss changes some time ago and initially it was a pretty common occurrence; while some adjustments were made since then, the underlying mechanic should still be working.

Knowing that they hadn't been fed leads me to be more sure that they must have gone wild. Pending anyone else reporting this i think we should go with that. I agree that it does seem very fast, but because it's possible to have happened this way, it likely did.


Thanks again for the report though, and I'm very open to hearing anything that contradicts my theory about this.

They most certainly do buck you off. 3-4 months ago (I think, im bad with time) I found a pretamed frenzied in the woods. I tamed it, got excited, started riding it across a bridge, and then it kicked me off and tried to eat me.

I just started taming frenzies and they can be aggressive even if they are initially tamed. I tried to mount one right away and it almost killed me They also go wild faster if you don't feed them and try to give them orders. Maybe you failed your "all stay" command and they went after an NPC or something.
