A moment of silence

Post by gedron »

http://uocodex.com/ultima-online-renaissance/

I came across this when I was trying to find a picture of the old UO box set wit the cloth map and all that cool stuff that I lost many, many years ago :(
I don't know why but I guess I am just a nerd or something but I missed all the "good ole days" of UO. I'm really looking forward to playing on this shard, it seems pretty cool so far. It is nice to log on and see people not on horses and not everyone has vanqs and neon crap everywhere.

Well anyway... I'm kind of getting emotional about my favorite game(creepy I know), but I'm pretty wasted right now so whatever...

Here's the excerpt that gets me the most:

- Some consider this to be the defining moment when UO stopped being UO, due to the non-consensual PvP that dropped with the opening of Trammel.

Memories... man. Anyway, I am glad we have people who commit so much to bringing back the good ole days :D

Hi!
oh hai!

Man I have forgotten how slow skills gain in t2a! Been doing provo for about 6 hours. Went from 49 to 52.2!

It's nice, isn't it?

Anyone with a GM, actually (hopefully) worked on it to achieve 100.0. Easy peasy skill gain sucks.

ya :) that way a tamer isn't just something you decided to make in a day or two. By the way, how long does it take to GM taming? And is there a guide for it on this shard?

While I was visiting my parent's for the holidays I found the original (paper) T2A map, I wonder why they didn't give us cloth maps for that expansion, guess they cheaped-out. I've had my original map, box, and guide sitting in storage still in good shape (however I've lost the UO Pin forever)

Man I had it all together but I moved and never found it again. I had my pin on my map so I wouldn't lose it :D

Oh how irony sees through anything.
