Casting Chainlightning on someone at the middle tile

ok so short story, me and johnny were on our chaos chars at brit gy in roses small house last week.
a few urks showed up and there mages were casting chainlightning on us.

we stayed in the middle tile as always.

we were forced to recall out quik, i also heared about luca doing this to ppl.
so my question is, how do they do this and is it a bug?

I've also had people casting CL on me and friends recently when we were in the middle tile of a small house.

Given it was Ne'rull casting, I highly doubt he was intentionally using a bug. I had thought you were one tile back from in the center...though I didn't get transparency on to tell for sure. Are you sure you were dead center? I wonder if spells can be casted on the roof of the house if you are far enough away?

well, my point is chain lightning is centered on the tile you target. THe center square was only ever safe if people targeted walls. If a roof tile can be targeted, then the center is no longer the wall, and as thus it'd hit someone dead center.

never tried chain lightning because meteor swarm and earthquake would hit you as well.

Im pretty sure he was casting EQ,if they were all casting MS or CL and they were hitting you would have died instead of just getting real low.

no, one was casting EQ and two urks like 4 tiles away from the house (to the left side) casted chainlightnings on us. while we were clearly at the center tile. we would have died if we didnt hit the recall keys quik.

Actually...two of us casted earthquake, cause we laughed when it hit each other. Only nerull casted chain lightning. I would have but i don't have a macro bound for that.
