What if I could equip 50 hallys and instant kill everything that attacks me? Bad comparison.tekai wrote:I take it you are not a tamer then Dolos.
What if you couldnt find anywhere to buy a hally. No smiths, no vendor houses nothing.

Re: All Stables full - at all times!
You can't get 50 dragons to insta kill someone. It's like playing Russian roulette tbh. Having that many dragons out is more of a hindrance than a real help for anything other than fast farming.

Yeah i'm a 4 dragon man myself. It takes me like over an hour to tame 4 dragons. Does it take you an hour to get battle ready on any of your other charecters?
Its BS.
Look im sorry you died to people with dragon turrets. But those people will still get their turrets, (look at the trading forum, theres like 80 slots up for retarted prices)
This is only stoping honest "Tamers" (you know they are allowed to play here too right? even if you don't like them). And newby miners ect ect.
Its wrong, stop it.

Re: All Stables full - at all times!
I would be in favor of 5 stable slots per account, even though its not era accurate. I don't think it'll happen, but I would support it.
Simply increasing the number of slots will solve nothing. In a short time you'll be right back where you started.
Also, if you really want to get into an argument over who is more broken or harder to play, you should check out the dexxer thread.

You should look up the facts proving halberd cycling too...Ronk wrote: Also, if you really want to get into an argument over who is more broken or harder to play, you should check out the dexxer thread.

This problem is not caused by tamers. Its caused by griefers. The amount of pets a tamer can have is not relevant to this thread. If you want to cry about tamers make a post about how you think they are over powered. Stop hijacking the point of this thread.
I swear this thread is like fox news of uosa. Your twisting an event to suit your little butthurt point of view.
If you think tamers are clogging the stables then why weren't they full a year ago? The shard population is a lot lower than it used to be. It's not like the tamer population has spiked in the past three months. Use your god damned brains.

Griefers don't have brains and are sociopaths not jus in game but RL also. It's true....
Re: All Stables full - at all times!
Equip your tamer with an invis item, gheal wand, 10 heal/cure/refresh pots and 5 str pots. Store up 10 dragons. Have a rune to the one tile location that lets you trap your pets in with a hidden char in the elder gazer room. Have another rune to another spot in that same room. Gate your dragons in, tell them all stop, teleport out of area and let the dragons decimate elder gazers with their firebreath. Then use the other rune you marked to gate in and out banking the gold while the dragons pillage. If anyone runs in to pk you then stand next to your dragons and hold gheal as the dragons will floor your ass with a few firebreaths. If you get in a tight spot cast gheal and arm your invis item for a free heal. Drink pots as necessary. Carry trapped pouches. Stand next to your pets and gate them out if necessary. It's honestly the easiest template to play if you learn how to use dragons properly. There is much more that goes into playing a hally mage, and all the tricks to using one.

Now if you're a griefer i'll give you a tip. If you recall in and see a tamer with pets stacked run close enough to grab one of the pets bars without getting attacked. Wait for the pets to target a spawned monster, then run out and drop a poison field on their pets and run back to a safe spot. Then prep a dispel field and as soon as you see the tamer try to gate out, dispel it and run back. Most of the time the tamer will sit there spamming arch cure or trying to dispel the poison field. The problem is the pets stand on the tile that is poisoning them and block the area from being dispelled. If you play it right you can usually get the tamer to recall or the poison eventually kills them, with spawn help as well. If you want to attack the tamer wait till the pets lock on to a monster and then run out and try to get a quick kill while the pets are busy. Ez

Yeah but instead of thinking cool tricks like that, they would rather break the game for everyone by taking advantage of in game mechanics of stable maxing.

At least people are selling them now. They were just holding em.

Re: All Stables full - at all times!
Yeah i suppose.
and I would probably even buy them except therse a bug in the code, and stables are overselling.
Derrick knows though and im sure he will fix it.

easy fix for the poison field, target by type wins
Re: All Stables full - at all times!
You would be the first to do that then. You could also run up when the pets are distracted, use an eq scroll and start a pot while equiping an invis item. As soon as the eq goes off you should be ready to toss the pot and run up for a hally hit. If all lands it could be a fast kill.
