If you were going to make a blacksmith.
If you were going to make a blacksmith.
What starting skills would you put at 50?, and intend to give him magery.

It's just as easy to macro carpentry as it is magery. It even most efficient to buy boards from the npcs, just like regs, son!

Re: If you were going to make a blacksmith.
I didn't think that you could simply spam a level 8 scroll to gain magery here.
Re: If you were going to make a blacksmith.
Since you can gain from scrolls, and can gain from failures on UOSA, it only makes sense that you can gain magery for a good while on scrolls alone (though it is impossible to GM this way I do believe.)MatronDeWinter wrote:I didn't think that you could simply spam a level 8 scroll to gain magery here.

Re: If you were going to make a blacksmith.
I have used lower level scrolls to gain magery (ebolt/flamestrike) while gaining resist, but have yet to just use the "spam 8th level scroll solely for magery gains," but will be happy to test it thoroughly for you when I get back to my pc this weekend since you don't play.

Re: If you were going to make a blacksmith.
You should require the chance to succeed in order to gain. That's era accurate. Ergo, you should consume scrolls, and since they cost more than just regs, it should be more expensive and require the same time.
