Thief Template help

I am working on a thief template. So far I plan on...

GM Snooping
GM Stealing
GM Hiding
GM Stealth
GM Lockpicking
GM ???
GM ???

What to do with the last 2 skills? Originally, I had planned on magery, but as I tend to DIE quite a lot, I don't like carrying tons of regs, and it seems a waste to have magery just for mark and recall.

I considered doing musicianship/peacemaking, so that I could peacemake monsters while I steal from them, or while I open the nearby chests, but I've never done ANY of the bard skills, so this is all unknown.

So far, I've done a bit of dungeon stealing, and a bit of townlooting. Thievery is also new to me, so I don't know where to go from here. Any help/suggestions/discussion would be GREATLY appreciated...perhaps even remembered when I find you afk with a pack full of gold or regs.....

That's an interesting template. Usually people make either a "grief thief" or a 'treasure hunter' but you seem to have mixed the 2. I'd say magery is a MUST if you plan on going to dungeons, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time as you will never be mounted and have no way of quick transport.

Personally, I'd put lockpicking on a different character and then take your 3 extra skill slots and go for gm healing, anatomy, and magery. Use magery for recall, teleport, etc. Healing with bandages is nice because its cost efficient and you can apply a bandage, hide and begin to stealth by the time it kicks in. You also have magery, should you need a quick heal or cure

If you are really into stealing from monsters and looting dungeon chests, you could drop snooping and do the same thing as listed above
