Survival Game Gone for Good?

Post by riant »

I can't find any posts about this. I was hoping to understand the reasoning. Is it this stool business? So every event is PvP now? I love PvP too, but doesn't that sort of make the event schedule one dimensional. So only PvP'rs can enjoy events? I've always understood staff decisions but this one seems so out there, without any explanation that I have this "I have to be missing something" feeling. I know the players that are into this and some are extremely active. Are we going to ban CTF next because of the afk complaints?

I understand the whole "events are trammel" argument, but that's the not the issue because the event schedule is still packed. Of course, I might be the odd man out here so if there is a post or explanation, I'd appreciate anyone pointing me to the link.

I am not sure, but I know in other post the administration said things like, "Untill we get script to remove stools, the offense is bannable." Therefore, I imagine once they write the script, the event will be back. However, I must reiterate that I am not sure completely.

What Fede said, with emphasis on the not completely sure. But I am pretty certain as soon as the stool issue is fixed it will be back in full force. This is a positive change and its going to improve the event big time so lets be patient.

Agreed. I think it was Rose or someone who said to just auto-decay them. It would be much better that way because even with forum posts and a sign at the event, there will be players who make an innocent mistake and assume it's allowed.

If that's the case I wholly support the staff descision. Taking it away till it's fixed makes more sense than banning someone who's just ignorant to the rules who, in all honestly, is probably just new. Though I can understand why some might miss it for the time being. . . Just cross your fingers on Ronk's orc event.

Yeah! Let's just add more "Sandro wins" events instead!

I dunno, I thought hunting in a dungeon WAS survival. Minus the trammy environment of course.

I'm 99% sure that I will never die to spawn in a dungeon unless 10 spawn all at once all around me and auto target me. AND THEN pks show up to finish me off.

We do plan to bring Survial back. The issue with the stools, on top of some other bothersome exploits of the game has caused us to pull it for a bit until we can make some changes.
