Housing problem
I found 3 tower spots 2 days ago and they are still empty. How can we correct this?

Give newbs an opportunity to settle and build a good foundation to enjoy UOSA. Currently we grief newbs into the ground, from day 1 when we townkill macroers or open gates for provo chars, to rampant PKing at almost every single farming local.Panthor the Hated wrote:I found 3 tower spots 2 days ago and they are still empty. Sure its part of the game, but its sad when people up and quit before they even get their feet into UO.

And where are these tower spots? I've been looking for about a week now without success.

Re: Housing problem
Is this the thread where we all chime in with "House problem? You need to look around some, but there are plenty of spots not horded by vet players and doled out as "newbie loaners", why I just placed 3 castles and 2 towers yesterday".

I just placed a town outside Vesper, used to be called C^V but they've disbanded.MatronDeWinter wrote:Is this the thread where we all chime in with "House problem? I was chatting with someone who I will leave anonymous on IRC the other day and they told me they were so bored with the game that they only login to kill everyone in sight and "screw with people." If that sounds like you do us all a favor and play something else.
Re: Housing problem
Although annoying as hell (tamer killed while afk for 2 minutes at a yew sheep farm just last night) griefers add an element which I find absolutely necessary for the enjoyment of the game, the 'shit happens' factor which is not unlike real life. I always liked UO because almost any time and anywhere a 'red' can show up and get your adrenaline pumping like you are actually being chased by a murderer and must run for your life. I agree that it is sad when a person's sole purpose for playing is making other people miserable, but I think their existence only adds depth to an already virtually limitless world.Razzamanazz wrote:Amen.Hicha wrote:Give newbs an opportunity to settle and build a good foundation to enjoy UOSA. I couldn't agree more. I hate griefers. . . but I love to hate 'em.

Whoops wrong account
Re: Housing problem
Someone should make a PK guild of fantasy gift givers (santa, tooth fairy, eastern bunny, etc) and they should go around and kill/grief people. But instead of looting, they drop useful gifts on the corpses. Of course, its not thier job to res you or protect your corpse but hey, if you get back to it fast enough maybe you'll find 10k.
