Having troulbe finding information

While it would be nice to find a guild, friends & a community in UOSA, mostly what I need is information, some of it pretty basic stuff...

Coming back to UO after 8 years is a bit confusing. I'm familiar with most elements of the game, but can't remember their details. I'm directed to the start guides, which lack the implicit answers I need or here, which seems populated with older posts. Is this forum active? Is the really the place to find current answers?

For now, I've started a list that - should I ever find a source of info - I can spam someone with...and I resorted to the 'help' button today when all else failed.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

UO Stratics is also another great source (although some of the content won't be correct considering it mirrors current UO and not UOSA): http://uo.stratics.com/

Otherwise, just hop in irc and ask. Lot of friendly people in there who'd be willing to help.

One of my characters, one only, is getting a message from multiple NPC's, "...I know not of your fate..." Can anyone tell me why this one char is getting this.

What is it? Is this another download?

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. It's basically the chat we use to keep in communication.

While you don't *need* to download the client (you can use the "Open IRC Chat Window" at the top left of the forum), I personally recommend getting mIRC at www.mirc.com to log in with. I've been using mIRC since the early 90s and it's quite honestly the best IRC client available and won't bugger up like browser java windows tend to do. If you're not comfortable learning the program though, stick to the java chat on this website.

What NPC sells music skills?

You can find them at the Conservatory Of Music in west Brit. It's the large building by the blacksmith shop north of the castle.
