Guild for a new player

Post by Le Tigre »

I am having troubles getting back into the game cause I am not good enough to fighty in dungeons alone without getting pkd every day at least twice.

any recommendations for guilds?

p.s. I got insta killed by a skeleton in deceit today. total bummer. went from 100% to dead in a second.

Start out in the britain graveyard or finding spawns in the woods. The graveyard is near town and in the woods you are far less likely to encounter pks.

In addition, if a skeleton killed you instantly you need to build your strength up. Maybe go mine or cut logs and sell them. Great way to kick start your money purse and build strength at the same time.

Must have been quite a skeleton!

Which guild you ultimately join depends on what kind of play style you're looking to employ. There are guilds for PK's, anti-PK/griefer, alternate character builds, griefers, roleplayers, etc.

You could let us know what kind of play style you're looking for and people could suggest guilds for you to look into or you could check out the guilds section on your own. It's kind of misleading though because some forums look inactive because the guilds are dead or barely breathing and others look inactive because the guilds actually post in their private sections that you can't see and/or use irc more.

Probably the best way is to ask in irc if any are available to help out.

Griefers often visit Brit GY so I'd say try Jehlom GY. Hunting in the woods is very good
advice. Also in addition to macroing up your strength you can either hire npc warriors to help you or just make a bard and provoke stuff. There are more options but these come to mind first. Hope this helps.

This is my advice to any new player starting out here. You should be able to solo any spawn within a week (depending on how much you actually play).

There are insta-kill traps in Deceit... it may have been that?
