I bid privately on everything because I am weird like that, but even if I didn't, I certainly would bid privately on a castle because of the potential courtyard security issues, etc...

I recall a thread not too long ago where Arsen was publicly attempting to purchase a castle, and a few people immediately jumped in saying that they would pay good money for any existing runes to the courtyard of any castle that Arsen purchased.

There is no way I would publicly bid on/buy a castle, or a keep for that matter.
