Just a few newb questions.
1. If i lock the door to my house can somone lock pick it and enter my house?
2. If they get in will they be able to access all of my items?

1. No, they can sneak in hidden behind you though. Always detect hidden when you get inside and be ready to say "I ban thee"
2. Anything locked down or in a secure container is safe. Anything else, including items in locked down, but not secured, containers is lootable

Just to further clarify, locked down food is not safe, it can be eaten.
So if you have one of those neat chocolate bunnies locked down, make sure no one has access to it.
