Sorry to hear you got scammed. There are a couple shops such as this that prey on new ppl. Arsen isn't the one running that shop; it's just someone using his name.

The way to avoid this scam is by using the Item ID skill or ID wands.

are you absolutely POSITIVE it's arsen's place? just because a person writes that on the name of the house doesn't mean it's necessarily true. please post a screen shot of the house, vendor(s), and an example of the item(s) listed with the actual properties using item ID. I say this because it is commonplace for scam vendors to pretend to be a part of a well-known and reputable player or guild's vendor shop

I believe DarkWing has a thread devoted to exposing scam vendors and I believe it is already several pages long

ok ... after looking into this i see that matron has renamed her house on the left side of the moongate to mimic Arsens House on the Right side,

Just to clarify, the house labeled Arsen's shop on the WEST side of the Britain moongate is in fact owned by Matron and the vendors there do sell mislabeled items and empty spellbooks. The real Arsen owned vendor house is on the EAST side of the Britain moongate and the vendors located in there are not selling fake items. I just wanted to clarify this because I run a vendor in the real shop and do not want people confusing our shop with Matrons scam shop.
