The point i was getting at is that its much faster see-sawing rather than just locking everything but 1. yes snooping is much faster. But you also gain dex from fencing... so see-sawing those two just got me from 53 to 100 in less than the time it took me to get 1 dex point using only fencing. Why wouldnt someone see saw? I mean if you dont want to drop a skill ur needing to do so, drop a different skill. I mean what 7x GM doesnt have his stats maxed? But i can see if one would want to alter them without loosing any skill

The requirement that must be fulfilled in gaining stats is that there must be unused potential to gain skill.

If you had 700 skillpoints then set all skills to upwards then you would gain str when using herding.

You need not gain skill to actually get the str, you merely need to have your skills in a situation where there is unused potential to gain skill.

There is no requirement on UOSA to use the "ping pong" effect by gaining 10 herding then lowering 10 herding - you can just use the skill non-stop @ 700 skillpoints with all skills set to up.

It's not faster pingponging, provided you have the skill at a low level/0.
