Server up? Stuck at verifying....again.

Is the server up?
I see the home page says there are over 600 people online but I have been stuck at verifying account for over an hour.
In fact about this time (4 pm PST) every day, I lose conn and get stuck at verifying for an uncertain amount of time.

Any ideas?
