This site gets my stamp of approval. Yea they aren't saying who runs it - who gives a ? Worst case scenario, you get scammed but given the Matron account incident I don't see that happening.

The site is also very well done. I was expecting some shoddy thrown-together-with-duct-tape thing but I glanced at the HTML and the front page looks very nice.
PS if ya guys need outsourced dev'ing get at me.

I just dont see how the UOSA community needs a SEPARATE Forums for trade communication, I dont think when the staff said they wanted a player ran community for trade this is what they had in mind.....

Something like this is exactly what they had in mind, however it's up to the player base to make it the main hub for trade on UOSA. I for one will be waiting a while before considering it. I don't think the current trade forums are that bad.

This, as Panthor correctly stated, has been in the works for at least a year, a little bit of forum detective work will yield all the, probably correct, info you need to know about who is behind this.

I dont think its been done right to be honest, something almost identical to UO:Auction was in era would be best, only numerical ammounts able to be entered, no ability to post/troll auctions what so ever is whats needed. Not just a new forum which as Sandro stated will probably suffer from the same problems. If it is this way already then appologizes to the admins, I only had a brief look and there are no responses as yet so it could be that way.

We already have a small community,

It sounds nice that we have 650 clients on every night but that is probably the same 300 people running multiple clients with razor macros all night. Even less people that play on the server post on the boards regularly.

Why divide an already small community into 2 places to conduct trade, I think it will hurt the trade boards in the forum, trade in the IRC, and the new site is going to fail due to additional registration required.

I'll stick with what we have now.

I think you are missing the point. The staff has expressed a need for a player-driven site to remove the burden of moderation et al. from the current/official website. I would not be surprised at all if the uosecondage.com trade section is closed once a new one is established.

he is asking us to trust him and his new website...yet he expects us to trust him...and that his site is secure and you won't be scammed there...and there seems to be noone that can vouch for him or his socalled staff personally

well I'm assuming they want to keep there secretiveness so when they do uphold their rules in regards to banning people they won't feel any reprocussions from their "friends" or "enemies" for that matter. Basically, the rules apply to everyone.

UOSA trade forums used to scam will get you banned. Over there at this new site, you have 0 pretection against anything.

I for one will not sign up, use or post over there as I do not see a need for it, nor do I see it being any better, safer or more fair than what we have/use now.

Brules I have been silent because I have been researching. This whole situation seemed fishy from the start. There was something amiss and I would not let it rest. It seems as though this person posts in this thread and has been taking up arms against themselves to not create suspicion. This was not ducky with me.
