I currently have about 1.4 million gold, 800k of which is committed as an event prize. I've probably had about 20 million gold in my entire time here, 90% of which I given out to newbies or for events, the rest has gone to tinker traps and miscellaneous fun.

Anyone who has more than 2 million gold is someone who is not very good at this game.

That's not the point. The point is sitting on gold isn't fun to any reasonable person. Spend it on whatever is fun for you: events, Trammel (within reason), OMGLEETPVP, etc. I guess I could see it being a bit fun to try to get like a billion gold just to say you have it or something, but beyond that it is obviously lunacy.

something like 2 - 3 million between my accounts in actual gold. many Ks in regs on key chars, several rares (like neon hair dye & black dye tubs), I had more stuff before tower decayed but its whatever. I can still get whatever I want on UOT2A. I am also rich in actual characters..... tamers and mages and crafters and dexies..... all their neon hair alone worth several several million : / ..so ya im pretty wealthy on here despite my stuff decaying.
