Darkwing's Brit gate vendor

I bought what i thought was a town runebook fromDarkwing's Brit gate vendor for 3500. It was empty. Is this a scam or a mistake? Is Darkwing around? TYhanks

They are vendors using his name but they aren't his. There's a forum thread somewhere abt them but Im too lazy to look right now.
