Lost Weathermap Scam!!!

Post by Miracle »

I know this isnt really a bug, but wasnt sure where else to put it.

Details of the night:
Talked to a gentlemen who seemed nice enough.
Snooped him and attempted to steal his Lost Weathermap (Blueish Spellbook) but wasnt able to steal it. It was newbied.. Looking back this should have been my 1st clue. Anyway on with the story.

I offer to buy the Lost Weathermap book for a small deed. He says yes.
I put small deed in trade window
He puts Lost Weathermap (again blue looking spellbook) in trade window
We both hit the checkmark

Small deed is now in his backpack along with the lost weathermap. I look in my backpack..NOTHING.

I am about to say WTF.. He recalls!!

Shorter version for people who dont like to read.

DONT ATTEMPT TO BUY LOST WEATHERMAP BECAUSE ONCE YOU HIT TRADE YOU WILL NOT GET THE ITEM BUT THE PERSON WILL GET YOUR ITEMS.

Feel free to flame all you want. I understand scamming in game is part of UO era accurate and I was playing a thief at the time, so i had it coming to me right!! Btw, thanks to a few peeps last week for the free boats!!! Love yall.

This is a quest item and isn't able to be traded.

I think you get that by now but for future references..
[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.
