How do the PvP events work?

Do you lose your gear if you die?

I feel like these would be great practice for learning how to fight but I can't afford to lose all my stuff this early in the game. Is there somewhere I can read up on event types and rules?

any event ran in trammel doesn't let u loose gear/items/etc. Free Use means that you only need 1 of each reg/pot and u can just continually use them and never run out. when you go to sign up read and see if magic weps/items/ etc r allowed or poison etc.

Ctf- Capture the flag, each team has a flag to defend, and you try to get the other teams flag and bring it back to yours.

DD- double domination - 2 points you hold, u hold them both u score pts.

then there is 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 etc. just pvp fights.

The only thing you need to bring a lot of to a free-use tournament is fish steaks. For some reason, you will never get "full" in a tournament, so you can continue to eat fish steaks over and over to replace stamina. 500 is probably a good number to bring.

You have access to your bank in between rounds, and for the 15-30 seconds in the arena before a round starts. So you can restock from there.

Some spells and effects don't work in the tournaments, even the ones where magic items are allowed. For example, an item of Invisibility doesn't seem to work within the ring. I'm not sure about teleport and reflect items.
