Tinkering Colored Ingots

Post by Rohegan »

I thought I remembered being able to tinker with colored ingots, and get regular tools and items.

"Tinkering works the same on normal and colored ingots, the result is the same. " From the above link.

Can I get anyone to acknowledge that this is wrong or right?

Dull copper ingots are pretty useless and make good fuel to get to GM tinkering when your short on iron.

you could tinker with colored ingots, but only got normal items.

I have 1 use for dull copper though. I smith my archer armor sets out of regular, but make the ringmail gloves out of dull. Gets rid of the ugly brown gloves and looks a little better. But this is a very small way to use up some of those DC ingots.

Was there any reason for 'dex suits' in T2A? I didn't think dex loss from armor came till later. Isn't T2A the era of plate?

Only plate gave a dex loss in T2A. I don't know about earlier eras
