Newbie here, with a couple questions

Post by Robillard »

Old UO player trying this out to see how it compairs to my fond memories of UO. Anyway, do the old guides still work? I miss my Fisherman/Pirate and want to study up on how I madehim back in the day. Will the guides I find on stratics work? Also, can I use UO Rudder and Magic, you know, those helpfull little programs found on Stratics site? If this is in the faq then tell me to RTFM, but I swear I couldn't find this info. Thanks guys and cant wait to see you all in game.

Guides of the era would apply to UOSA, however, the best guide you can have are your fellow players. There is a ton of knowledge in these forums, go over the Guides and New Player - FAQ Sections of the forum, you should find almost anything you need there. If you are still unsure, ask!!

Not sure about rudder and/or magic, but Razor + UOAM should be able to cover for them, at least to a good extent.

Also, welcome to UOSA!!

Thanks for the tips. Anyone tell me anything about UO Rudder and all those programs? I don't want to use them till I am sure they are OK, or not use them till I am sure they are not.

You can use all of those old UO-pro programs. Rudder, UO-curse, Automap, and of course "razor" (well that's not old). I think those are about the only programs allowed though.
