RP
Hi, Im new and none of you probably know me. I know RPing isnt too big on this shard but I was thinking if we could put our heads together to make an RP guild that could compliment or go alongside the bloodrock clan so that we could get a storyline going. Just a thought. Get back to me if you are interested.
Re: RP
would the rp guild also have restrictions on its skill choices.
like you could make dwarfs, that can only yeild maces and use magic?
plus they would be to fat to ride a horse.
or lizard men that specialise in poison.
or the undead, where every member must wear a bone armour to some capasity.
or a tribal mask.
whom also favour stealth and poison.??
just some thoughts
or would it be human?

Re: RP
These are good questions, which is why I thought it should be a decision of more than one person since certain ideas turn people off/on.
Ive never been much of a fan of Tolkiens fantasy world, or orcs, but from my knowledge we can come up with some other "groups' that can roll with them. Lets take:
Elves: quick, precise, wise, magical. Where Orcs are known for their vicious might, wielding axes and maces to crush their opponents, the elves use bows, spears, and magic to bring order for the greater good. It would be difficult to incorporate their "look" into UO since elves never appear in the game (from what I remember). Long hair, light skin, and no special "language" needing to be used. We could also divide the members into what type of elf they are: high elven mages, wood elf rangers, desert elf spearmen, etc...
Goblins: This idea was proposed by another member. Their are goblin masks but no goblins. The goblins different from orcs on that they are trickier. Fencers could work. We could do like a half-breed 6th level magic max, mixed with some kind of fighter. Thieves. Im not too experienced with this race though...if anyone cares to add.
Dwarves would be cool. Mountain men, dont ride horses just like orcs. Powerful like orcs. It would be really nice to see this happen. I can see them using certain low magic spells. High strength and tactics, low dex and only axes and maces, maybe crossbowmen?
An idea could be some kind of "desert people," not quite human not quite not human...arabic style, using spears and scimitars, riding on llamas. Using poisoned weapons. We could hook them up in that big desert patch next to the orc clan.
I dont think lizard men would work well, and I'm not sure another "evil" alignment race would be a good compliment to the orcs. But we could run with the bone armour idea. Maybe its a group of humans or whatever that want to get revenge on the orcs for destroying (insert blank idea) and they use bone armour to represent the death and destruction of their past blah blah. Or it could be a group of woodland hunters (using bear masks, studded and leather armour, etc..) that are competing with the orcs over the land.
It would all be nice...the orc guild is the only one that seems to bring down the level of extreme PvP competition by sticking to their roleplay and I think they deserve some kind of clan to participate with them at the same level. Plus it would be very fun and would make this shard unique. Anyway, just some very long thoughts.

Re: RP
the rangers of SB could work, they already have a website we could follow...if anyone is interested in this or in any other idea we just pm me or drop a line here and we can do this, even if its only a couple players. Im willing to put all my resources toward it...
Re: RP
I am most definitely interested in being a part of the roleplaying community here, though I have just recently joined myself.
I'd particularly be interested in joining/forming a "good guy" sort of guild to counter the Orcs. Of course, I'm fine with whatever the majority here decides would be the most fun.
If I had the resources to (and I may do so after a while when I've gotten on my feet), I'd most want to make a Knightly guild focused on the 3 Principles (Truth, Love, Courage) and 8 Virtues of Ultima (Honesty, Compassion, Valor, Justice, Sacrifice, Honor, Spirituality, Humility). Not the most creative or original of ideas, I admit, but since when did a guild have to be original to be fun?
Anyway, at the very least, it's nice to see that there are others interested in roleplaying that aren't Orcs.

Re: RP
I'de be interested in forming a goblin guild with you. I already have a goblin in the works, let me know if you wish to go down this path. I would be open to possible other ideas such as vikings or that arab idea you have sounds great. RP a desert warrior of some sort would be fun.

Re: RP
Typically, if you want to form a guild you gotta bring people with you initially. I don't think there are enough people to be able to just say "I wanna create a new guild, who wants to join me". Everyone is already affiliated somewhere.MON wrote:pretty bad. dont think this is the shard for me.
Re: RP
id like to find myself a good mage guild .... with naming policys at least.
a dress code would be nice ( in the lines of no metal armor. )
where ppl cooperate to a greater good for the guild.
suck a guild would help train more mages ( as long as they have proper names and promice to not wear metal armor ) and interact with other existing guilds.
aligment wise they would be Neutral.
but any guild would due that fosters cooperation between its members.
an Elf guild would be cool.
