Poser Tank...field thief

So I been thinking of making more use of disguise kits and heading outside town as a thief.
I don't want to be trapped on foot, I need resist, and well quite frankly a double random steal then jetting seems like a good way to go if not farm with my thief and snag a couple L33T PVP items from a red or two before recalling out.

So what would be the major drawbacks of replacing Tactics with Stealing on your basic tank mage template?

Random stealing will just get you reagents and potions. The leet items usually weigh more than 10 stones and will not be random-stolen.

major draw back is your hally hits will be like broadsword hits

Well more often then utilizing insta hit I would be using a kat and attacking last tabbing out and stealing

See as a thief you want to avoid some damage if your target is an innocent anyway. Having some *pop* to your casting and having wrestling and swords would throw most people off that they are being stolen from anyway.

I made an exact replica of Sandro once. Had stealing mage med wrestle heal anat resist snoop and it was easy to rob people. I even recruited a few people into my fake "-3,-" guild that didn't know any better. Heck, Skonzy of crew went with me to my guildstone to let his friend in and didn't even realize that I was not green to him. Bad part, is that pvpers carry garbage and it's not worth the time.

That template sounds like a survivor there...might make that my number two thief. I am running only two accounts this time around so I have to be picky choosey.

What did you drop on? Anatomy 60/Med 80/Resist 80?

I think I went with 80 med (cause I wouldnt be using offense) 85 snoop 90 resist and I forget how the rest worked out. It was gm wrestle/steal for sure though, maybe 90 magery even. 80 anat idk.
